Privacy Policy
Draft prepared for owner review before public launch.
Information we collect
When you submit a service request, we collect:
- Your name, phone number, street address and ZIP code
- The service you need, appliance brand and problem description, if provided
- Your preferred date and time window, and the discount you selected
- Your optional marketing-consent choice, and — when you opt in — the time and the exact disclosure text you agreed to
- The page you submitted from and campaign details from the link you followed (such as UTM parameters or a Google click ID), when present
To limit spam, we also store a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your network address, which cannot be turned back into the address itself.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide to respond to service requests, contact you about scheduling, coordinate appointments, provide customer support, and manage our services. We may also use limited information to understand how customers find our website and improve our advertising.
With your permission, Upstate Appliance Repair may occasionally contact you by phone or text message about special offers, discounts, seasonal promotions, and related services.
You can withdraw your marketing consent or request that we stop sending promotional communications at any time. We do not sell your personal information to third-party marketers.
Marketing communications and your choices
Promotional calls and text messages are sent only to customers who explicitly opt in through the separate, optional consent checkbox on our service-request form. That checkbox is never pre-checked, and it is never required to request service or make a purchase. Submitting a service request, or accepting this Privacy Policy, is not treated as marketing consent.
When you opt in, we record your choice together with the date, the disclosure version you agreed to, and the page you submitted from. Message and data rates may apply to text messages.
You can opt out at any time: reply STOP to any promotional text message, or call us at (864) 431-6372 and ask to be removed from promotional contact. Opting out of marketing never affects service-related communication about your requests and appointments.
Storage and access
Requests are stored in a secure database. Visitors to the website cannot read, change or delete stored requests; access is limited to our team.
Analytics
The website may record anonymous interaction events (for example, that a call button was tapped or a request was submitted). Your name, phone number, address and problem description are never sent to analytics tools.
